Popular Paint Color Trends - 2013
Each year color experts predict popular paint colors for the coming year or season. The following color palettes are from Sherwin-Williams Paint. To quote Jackie Jordan, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, “Dynamic, contrasting color moods are the paint color trends for 2013.” The colors are divided into four groups: Midnight Mystery, Honed Vitality, Vintage Moxie and High Voltage.
Each color is identified by name and/or number. If a particular dealer is not in your area, other dealers should have close matches in their fan deck or the ability to match the color. If you cannot find the brand of your favorite color in your area send us your color's brand, color name and number and we will cross reference it for you with other manufacturers to find its closest match.

Midnight Mystery as a whole is the darkest paint color group. It offers a rich selection of hues to complement the color palette of oriental rugs and multi-colored fabrics. These moody colors contrast well with fine wood furnture to frame and highlight the natural wood tones of modern collections or the aged patina of antique furnishings. The paint colors could be used for home theater room paint colors when a dark shade is needed to keep down reflections, glare and light levels.
Roycroft Bottle Green
Rookwood Dark Red
Olde World Gold
Earthy, organic, natural would describe this palette. In one word, comfortable. Honed Vitality is a beautiful group of paint colors. They are quiet and restful but not shy, energetic but under control. When seen they will prompt the question, “What color is this?” These richly toned paint colors could be used in any room. They will not overpower a space but envelope it in nature's energy.
