Paint Color Trends for 2013 by Sherwin-Williams®
Feminine, pretty and glamorous tones with an accent color almost black encompass this color palette. These charming and enchanting colors pulsate with energy and excitement. These paint colors, not “Darkroom” of course, will help brighten a room lacking enough natural or artificial light. Look for the “LRV”. This number represents the light reflectance value of the paint color. It is the total quantity of visible and useable light reflected by a surface, in this context, the painted surface. The higher the number the more light it reflects resulting in a brighter space.
Think neon anchored by white, black and gray. Nothing is dull in this palette of paint colors and neither will the space be if one of these exciting hues is used as the paint color. Express yourself, go for it. Bedroom paint color? Yes. Kitchen paint color? Yes. Bathroom paint color? Yes.
