Paint Color Trends for 2014 by Sherwin-Williams®
A collection of paint colors not easy to describe. each is a mixture of shades and tones of multiple colors. Library Pewter is not exactly brown or beige but includes subtle hints of black or gray. Anew Gray cannot be described as a pure beige but more inline with a taupe having gray and tan undertones. Relic Bronze is a gold but with a touch of brown to subdue the saturation of gold. These colors, because of this nature of having underlying tones, may not seem to match anything but the opposite is actually the case. The combining of different shades and tones of colors into one allows it to be used in more places, tying together an assortment of furnishings. These type paint colors are usually some of the clients favorites. They are different, unusual and pleasing to the eye.
Best descibed by Sherwin-Williams as “Light, delicate and translucent.” These pastel, neutral and white paint colors are subdued and simple but are the answer for the living room, den, hallway or bedroom in need of a light color scheme. They could also be used on woodwork and trim as a contrast to darker walls. Use one of these paint colors as the same color on walls and trim for a monochromatic paint color look.
